The Theme Park Technician Certificate is designed to equip students with the skills needed for a career as a theme park technician. This program prepares students for installing, maintaining, repairing, and safely operating various theatrical entertainment systems commonly used in theme parks, including automation, lighting, rigging, sound, video, and projection systems. This certificate program requires a total of 25-30 units all of which are in required courses. A grade of C or better is required in each course taken.

Outcome 1: Interpret, analyze, evaluate, and employ the correct, safe, and efficient use of tools, hardware, and equipment associated with various technical systems for the purpose of running and maintaining productions.
Outcome 2: Research, interpret, compose, and categorize various types of schematics, spreadsheets, and other paperwork utilized within the professional entertainment field for the purpose of working effectively with production designers.
Outcome 3: Distinguish and apply basic technical theatre terminology in order to communicate effectively within the theme park industry.
Outcome 4: Assess and formulate various maintenance and diagnostic methodologies to safely troubleshoot and maintain show control equipment.
