Instructional Divisions

North Orange Continuing Education (NOCE) provides accessible, high-quality educational programs and support services designed to help students achieve their personal, academic, career, and lifelong learning goals. Instructional divisions offer courses that support English language development, basic skills and high school completion, career training and workforce preparation, college readiness, independent living, personal enrichment, and continued learning for older adults and students with disabilities.

NOCE programs are designed to help students strengthen literacy and communication skills, prepare for employment or career advancement, increase earning potential, transition to college, develop greater independence, and remain actively engaged in their communities. Classes are offered at various locations, online, and during daytime and evening hours throughout the week to accommodate a wide range of schedules. Course offerings, locations, and instructional formats may vary by semester, and not all courses are offered each semester.

NOCE noncredit classes are tuition-free to the community. These courses are supported through state apportionment funding based on student attendance and participation, as administered through the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office. Although tuition is not charged for noncredit courses, students may be responsible for certain materials, textbooks, supplies, parking, or other course-related costs when applicable.
