This Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) Certificate Program is designed for students wishing to further pursue a career in machining or manufacturing with an emphasis in CAM software such as Espirit, Fusion, and Surfcam. Program Level Student Learning Outcomes
Outcome 1: Demonstrate the ability to organize and construct geometry of 3D model parts for machining operations to evaluate tool paths.
Outcome 2: Demonstrate proficiency in Surface programming by preparing numerical control programs for CNC machine tools to machine piece parts per drawing.
Outcome 3: Evaluate and select tools for the material removal process and toolpaths in the Surface program to produce rough and finish machining operations.
