The Fashion Illustration Certificate is designed to prepare students for employment in fashion illustration fields such as technical designer, textiles, model/croquis drawing, direct-mail catalog and advertising. This certificate requires the completion of 30-32 units of which 23 are in required courses. An additional 7-9 units must be chosen from the restricted electives listed below. A grade of C or better is required in each course taken.

Outcome 1: Illustrate 10 head high figure (croquis) and 10 garments from creative ideas to communicate a mental image to a viewer using a variety of drawing tools and assemble a portfolio for job interview.
Outcome 2: Illustrate different fabric surfaces and textures from real textiles by using methods of rendering color, tonal values and surface details to communicate to the viewer for appareI and soft goods manufacturers.
Outcome 3: Illustrate garments with complete seam and embellishment details, in the desired scale for use in the workroom of a manufacturer or custom shop.
