The Cisco Networking Certificate prepares the students for a career in the area of computer networking. The program is designed to teach students the skills needed to design, build, and maintain small to medium-size networks. The curriculum also prepares students for the industry-recognized CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) exam. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all course work must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 16 units.

Program Student Learning Outcomes:

OUTCOME 1: Acquire the skills necessary for workforce preparation in the field of Cisco networking, including describing WAN concepts and identifying basic features of switches and routers and execution of various OSI commands and creation of standard and extended access control lists (ACL), identification and configuration of LAN switching technologies and configuration, troubleshooting, and securing switches and routers within a WAN environment.
