The ESL Milestone Certificate: Pathway to Aviation and Travel Careers is designed to prepare English language learners (ELLs) for the academic rigor of degree-applicable coursework in various academic pathways. Students completing these certificates have achieved academic English reading and writing skills at an advanced, post-secondary level as well as achieved prerequisite or foundational coursework in a variety of degree, certificate, or general education patterns. These two elements combine to demonstrate significant achievement of a milestone along Aviation and Travel Careers (ATC) pathways to degrees, certificates, or transfer. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 18 units.

OUTCOME 1: Acquire the knowledge and skills, including academic English-language reading and writing at a post-secondary level, an overview of the travel careers, career communication, UAS Drones, and airline operations, necessary for college coursework towards degree, certificate, or transfer in Aviation and Travel Careers.
