The Administration of Local Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen Analgesia and Periodontal Soft Tissue Curettage Certificate offers a curriculum that provides the student with the appropriate academic instruction to achieve eligibility for the National Board of Dental Hygiene Examiners written examination, and the CDCA/WREB/CITA (ADEX) Dental Hygiene clinical examination for licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist, qualifying the candidate as stipulated by the Dental Hygiene Board of California. A Certificate of Completion shall be issued “Certification in Administration of Local Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen Analgesia and Periodontal Soft Tissue Curettage (SLN) after a student has achieved clinical competency of the three procedures. The Dental Hygiene Board of California set forth the requirements and the California Code of Regulations. 16 CCR 1107.
