This certificate prepares students to meet the Federal Aviation Administration requirements to operate lightweight and heavier Unmanned Aircraft Vehicles (UAVs) in commercial operations, utilizing Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). To earn this certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all major course work must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 26.5-28 units.

Program Student Learning Outcomes:
Outcome 1: acquire workforce preparation skills, including weather interpretation, application of regulations, aeronautical decision-making, airport operations, and performance calculations necessary for a career as a drone pilot that exceed the knowledge on the FAA Remote Pilot Exam.
